Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data the Math Time mobile and desktop game ("the Game") collects, why, and how you can exercise your rights. The data controller is Gameloptica.
Data we collect
- Account data: an account is created automatically the first time you open the Game. We store a random username, a friend code and, if you choose them, an avatar and a country. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number or location.
- Optional profile data: if you enter them on the Profile screen, we store your birth year (year only) and gender. They are not required, are not shown to other players, and you can clear them at any time.
- Password: if you set a password to get back into your account from another device, we store only a one-way secure hash of it (scrypt), never the password itself.
- Device key: the app generates a random key that links your account to your device. The server stores only a hash of this key. We do not use the advertising ID or hardware identifiers.
- Game data: match results, the answers you give, your rating, wins, daily plays and leaderboard position.
- Social data: friend requests, your friends list, players you block and duel invitations.
- Technical data: your IP address is processed temporarily while you are connected, for abuse prevention (rate limiting) and security. It is not stored permanently.
Why we use it
- To create your account and run the Game: matchmaking, matches, rating and leaderboards.
- If you set a password, to let you log in to your account from another device with your username and password.
- To understand, in aggregate (not identifying you), which age groups play the Game and tune the questions accordingly, using the optional birth year and gender.
- To provide the friends and duel features.
- To prevent cheating and abuse and to keep the service secure.
We do not show ads, we do not sell your data, and we do not use third-party tracking for advertising or analytics.
What other players see
Your username, avatar, rating, league and match statistics are visible on leaderboards and to your opponents and friends. There is no chat in the Game.
Service providers
We share data only with these providers, who process it on our behalf to run the Game:
- Cloudflare: network delivery and security (HTTPS).
- pubb.io: real-time match notifications. Your user ID and match events are transmitted.
We do not share data with anyone else unless required by law.
Security and retention
All connections are encrypted (HTTPS/WSS). Your data is kept until you delete your account. When you delete your account, your personal data is removed immediately. Results of past matches remain in anonymous form so that your opponents' statistics stay intact.
Deleting your account
In the Game, go to Settings → Delete account, or follow the steps on the account deletion page to contact us.
Children
The Game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and Turkish data protection law (KVKK), you have the right to access, correct and delete your data and to object to its processing. Send requests to info@gameloptica.com. You can change or clear your username, avatar, birth year and gender on the Profile screen in the Game.
Changes
If we update this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with its effective date.
